Six Plus One Equals Four

Hey y’all!

I’m back (for the 3rd or 4th time) and I’m going to work really hard to stay committed to writing in this space all year long.

That sentence you just read is what I typed on January 1st. It’s now February 2nd. As you can see, I’m a BEAST when it comes to sticking to my goals in 2023! LOL!

Life has changed since the Party of Six blogging days. The blog is still up and running, however we aren’t just a party of six anymore, therefore I thought I’d start something new. We’re a party of six, but soon-to-be seven. Cub 1 is getting married!

He graduated from college in December and he lives in that part of Maryland now. Although, our family is officially starting to grow, it actually feels like it’s getting smaller.

Cub 2 is in his first year of college in Georgia.

Cubs 3 and 4 are the only two officially at home full time now.

Some weekends, we are a party of six if Cub 1 and MissCub1 come to visit. Most days, though, we are a party of four…and it’s been an adjustment for all of us…and I wanna write about it!

We still have great days and we still have not-so-great days. We still have days where I think no one will ever believe that this has happened to us without some hard evidence, like a video or picture. Then, we have days when I wouldn’t want ANYONE to know what went down because I’m pretty sure cancel culture would roast us slowly over hot coals. Such is life, but we are growing and learning lessons together just like any other family.
